Lots to be Thankful for!!

We celebrated Thanksgiving at my parents house this year. My cousins Curt and Adam and their families came also. It made for a very cheerful house. The kids enjoyed playing with their cousins. I love it when my kids can make friends quickly and play well together for so long. 

I enjoyed seeing Curt again. It'd been a few years since I saw him last. We were at BYUI together which was a lot of fun. He's had a little spot in my heart for many years. I enjoyed getting to know his wife Jen better and catching up as well. And of course seeing their adorable kids. Last time I saw them their 3rd was an infant so it was fun to see how they've grown and also meet their youngest.

Adams's crew of 6, Curt's crew of 6, and my crew of 6 went Black Friday shopping together, yup with all our kids even! Three minivans driving from store to store. We stopped at Dairy Queen for lunch. A sit down restaurant was just way too busy to accommodate a group of 18! I enjoyed visiting with Adam, Brandi, Curt, and Jen while watching the kids visit and eat.  

Tyler LOVES babies and totally loved on this little guy Bryson. 

Kids played games, make believe, sang and danced. 

Like I said, Tyler loved Bryson and he took many photos of him. :)

I'm so thankful for my family. I am grateful for the blessings of the gospel and knowing there's more to life than this; as great as it is. Happy Thanksgiving!

Yes, this is true. And yes....this will be our newest addition to the family. You think you're surprised! Just imagine how surprised I was! Big time let me tell you. And in case you are wondering, I am just starting my first week of month number five. Yes, I am in my second trimester already. Hard to believe it's really gone that fast. I haven't been sick at all. It's been very nice. I could easily not know that I was pregnant because I don't feel like I am. This explains why I haven't been sick. It's a boy. I wasn't sick with Aidan either. I kind of figured it was a boy and this morning confirmed that it was. Here's the little guy in action. , We got up a little after 6 a.m. and got ready to head to the hospital. My mom showed up at 6:45 to watch the other three at home for us. Thanks Mom! For Unto Us A Child Is Born

On Wednesday December 16th I went to the hospital at 7 a.m. to start my induction. I was already dialated to a 3 and dr. said if I wanted to have the baby I could. I didn't want to be in the hospital or recovering too close to Christmas with my entire family home for the season so I said sure! I was finally underway at 8 a.m. with pitocin. The rest of the morning and afternoon was spent in boredom and watching tv with Jaime at my side. At around 12:45 the dr. came to break my water because that usually gets things going quick. My kids have all arrived shortly after the water breaks. However, since the baby's head kind of floated up he decided to wait a bit to not risk the umbilical cord coming out first or wringing around the baby's neck. Bummer! I was so disappointed. So, on to more waiting, turning up the pitocin...again. Finally at 3:30 p.m. I was having some strong contractions and dialated 5-6. The Past Week...

This past week has been a pretty laid back one. I've been getting things done on my own schedule...whenever I feel like it. Haha! Took the boys to the library, I've been making time (a.k.a. not working) to read a book for my own enjoyment, planted some flowers, made a few trips to the park with the kids, done a bit of shopping (grocery shopping at Winco is a lot of work with just me and the boys and I really have to gear up for it.), and I have been playing Sorry and Hi Ho Cherry O with Aidan quite a bit. So I have been busy just not with the normal stuff that keeps me busy on a daily basis.  I love browsing Costco with Jaime and my kids in the evening of a week day. It's not very crowded then. If there's a fun movie on the TVs we like to stop and watch a little. We stopped to watch a bit of the Avenger's in 3D...hence Aidan's glasses. :) I spent a day at Mom's with the boys.
