It's Beginning to Look A Lot Like Halloween


Aidan and Tyler were given Jiffy Pop popcorn from their Grandma Morales. On the evening of October 21st we were home while Jaime was gone to a meeting and Lindsey was gone volunteering time at another school for a Halloween event. So we thought movie and a fun was to make popcorn was a fun thing to do. Emily stepped in to help since the boys arms were getting tired. Using an air popper or microwave is definitely an easier and quicker route to yummy popcorn! But the experience of watching the foil pan get bigger was fun. 


While at the school Halloween event Lindsey got her face painted to look like Hedwig the owl from the Harry Potter series. The artist did a pretty good job! 

October 26th...Time to carve pumpkins!

Tyler and Aidan picked out their own pumpkins from the store. They got big ones...takes longer to clean out. But they were troopers and worked hard and long. 

Olivia picked a pretty large pumpkin too!


They chose pictures to trace and then cut out for cool pumpkin looks. 



Where was Lindsey during the pumpkin carving? Off having fun with her friend Cami! Cami invited Lindsey to their Stake Halloween dance. Stake dances are usually for ages 14 and up but their stake invites 12 and 13 year olds for the Halloween and Valentine's dance. Lindsey was very excited to go. 


Carina was so sweet to meet me outside of Prosser to get Lindsey. She fed Lindsey dinner and let her get ready for the dance their. She took this cute picture of the girls getting ready for the dance. 

Cami the thief and Lindsey is Jyn Erso from the new Rogue One Star Wars movie coming out. Lindsey had a great time at the dance she said. Jaime drove to Benton City to pick her up. The evening really worked out well. 

Tyler cut his pumpkin out to look like Pac Man. Each of the kids painted mini pumpkins to put with "Pac Man" and one sat in his mouth showing it getting eaten. I can't believe I didn't get any pictures of the kids finished pumpkins. I was just more caught up in the excitement of lighting the pumpkins and seeing how they look. :)

Yes, this is true. And yes....this will be our newest addition to the family. You think you're surprised! Just imagine how surprised I was! Big time let me tell you. And in case you are wondering, I am just starting my first week of month number five. Yes, I am in my second trimester already. Hard to believe it's really gone that fast. I haven't been sick at all. It's been very nice. I could easily not know that I was pregnant because I don't feel like I am. This explains why I haven't been sick. It's a boy. I wasn't sick with Aidan either. I kind of figured it was a boy and this morning confirmed that it was. Here's the little guy in action. , We got up a little after 6 a.m. and got ready to head to the hospital. My mom showed up at 6:45 to watch the other three at home for us. Thanks Mom! Living Life Day to Day

My kids are wonderful. They are growing up into wonderful children. I love them so much. We've been very busy with this and that recently. This will be a long recap of some of what's been going on. :) The Primary Program was Sunday Sept 22. (I forgot to get a picture of them on that day but I did get pics of them the previous Sunday.) All four of them memorized their parts and stood at the microphone to say them without any hesitation at all. They were cute to watch singing the songs. Aidan was funny to watch with his gestures and making a heart with his hands through some of the songs. My parents and grandparents were able to come and watch. It was a special treat for the kids to have them there.  The Sunday this picture was taken there were hundreds of yellow butterflies all over the purple flowering bushes. The Past Week...

This past week has been a pretty laid back one. I've been getting things done on my own schedule...whenever I feel like it. Haha! Took the boys to the library, I've been making time (a.k.a. not working) to read a book for my own enjoyment, planted some flowers, made a few trips to the park with the kids, done a bit of shopping (grocery shopping at Winco is a lot of work with just me and the boys and I really have to gear up for it.), and I have been playing Sorry and Hi Ho Cherry O with Aidan quite a bit. So I have been busy just not with the normal stuff that keeps me busy on a daily basis.  I love browsing Costco with Jaime and my kids in the evening of a week day. It's not very crowded then. If there's a fun movie on the TVs we like to stop and watch a little. We stopped to watch a bit of the Avenger's in 3D...hence Aidan's glasses. :) I spent a day at Mom's with the boys.
