Kids' Fun all Week at the Beach makes for Dates all Week for Us

The spent 10 days at the Oregon Coast for their annual coast trip with Grandma and Grandpa Morales. Traveling by RV is quite the luxury.

The kids look forward to this trip every year.

Can my kids be any more photogenic! They're all so beautiful and good looking in these pics.

They had great weather to be at the water.
Olivia, Lindsey, Chris, Bel, and their nephew (Chris's brother's son) Chris and Bel brought with them.

Lindsey, Olivia, Tyler. I swear they soak up so much sun and the cooler temps don't bother them in the least. But they've had lots of great weather this year and enjoyed multiple days at the beach, bike rides, a day at Seaside, and visiting lots of family.

Great-grandma Morales came for a few days! The kids enjoyed visiting with her and Jaime's other aunts and uncles. They had a large potluck dinner one evening and even had a piñata for the kids.

Lindsey was so excited to see the Goonies house from where the film was made.

They even went to the Goonies museum...

at the county jail where the film begins.

Due to Jaime's work schedule this year we weren't even able to make it to the coast for a few days. We may not have been able to go on the trip but we made the most of our time together.

Last year we went dates eating at places we'd never been, went on picnics, even the Columbia River dinner cruise ship. This year we enjoyed date night every night but they were simpler. Restaurants we already knew we liked, hung out with friends, took walks, played games, went boating, binge watched shows, watched movies and cooked in the kitchen together. Making the best of the week while the kids were gone.

We went boating with some friends.

I tried wake surfing. It's fun and so much easier on the body than wakeboarding!

Jaime did a little boogie boarding.

The water felt great considering we've been over 100 degrees for weeks.

We also did some other fun date actives. We each bought 5 things at the grocery store and then blindfolded the other while feeding the items to them. Whoever guessed the most things correctly won. I won. 😁 It was a really fun date! We like to try new dates and even restaurants sometimes when the kids are gone. I do enjoy cooking less during this week and a half. lol
