My Kids Amaze Me

Aidan is going to be my scriptorian. He LOVES the scriptures. He LOVES the magazine the church puts out for kids, "The Friend." He will open up either one at just random times during the day or evening to read them. He likes to do the activities or assemble the small "books" of pictures in the magazine. If there's a story on one side of the page he wants to cut out he makes sure we've read it first. The monthly scripture reading coloring pages in The Friend helps Aidan want to read more of the Book of Mormon too. And he's a good reminder to us to read it as well. He's learned how to read in Spanish. The fact that he reads in English just blows me away by how well he can read. I thought he'd be behind in reading in English, but he's not! He's able to sound out a lot of the difficult works in the scriptures all on his own too. 

I let the kids build a fort today. 

The make believe that comes with a fort is pretty awesome. 

And a good fort needs to last longer than a few hours so the girls slept in it. :)
