Time Out for Women 2016

This year I was able to go to Time Out for Women in Spokane on March 4-5 with Mom, Elizabeth, and Lori. We stayed at the Davenport Grand. After getting checked in to our hotel we headed out to dinner at Azteca Tex-Mex restaurant. 

Had to get some selfies during dinner right? We hit our dinner time just right. As we were leaving the restaurant the lobby was full of people waiting to be seated. When we got there they took us right to our table the place was so empty. I like it when stuff like that happens. 

Calee Reed was one of the speakers/singers during the conference. She's an amazing and kind person. We had a guy take a picture of the four of us with her but wouldn't you know it, after the guy left and I looked at my phone to see the pictures he took there weren't any there. After making sure he wasn't looking at other stuff on my phone I realized he was pushing the wrong circle on the phone screen to take the picture. He was pushing the on/off circle for "Live" photos. Oh well. This is a beautiful picture of Lori and Calee. 

It was a wonderful uplifting weekend. It's kind of like Youth Conferences with I was a teenager. You get to laugh and then just like that the speakers can bring the Spirit in and bring tears to your eyes. I enjoyed hanging out with my family. It was Lori's first time going and as luck would have it her name was drawn for a $100 visa gift card!! How awesome is that?! It'd be fun to have my others sisters go with us sometime but I'll take just a few too. :)

For Unto Us A Child Is Born

On Wednesday December 16th I went to the hospital at 7 a.m. to start my induction. I was already dialated to a 3 and dr. said if I wanted to have the baby I could. I didn't want to be in the hospital or recovering too close to Christmas with my entire family home for the season so I said sure! I was finally underway at 8 a.m. with pitocin. The rest of the morning and afternoon was spent in boredom and watching tv with Jaime at my side. At around 12:45 the dr. came to break my water because that usually gets things going quick. My kids have all arrived shortly after the water breaks. However, since the baby's head kind of floated up he decided to wait a bit to not risk the umbilical cord coming out first or wringing around the baby's neck. Bummer! I was so disappointed. So, on to more waiting, turning up the pitocin...again. Finally at 3:30 p.m. I was having some strong contractions and dialated 5-6. SURPISE!!!!

Yes, this is true. And yes....this will be our newest addition to the family. You think you're surprised! Just imagine how surprised I was! Big time let me tell you. And in case you are wondering, I am just starting my first week of month number five. Yes, I am in my second trimester already. Hard to believe it's really gone that fast. I haven't been sick at all. It's been very nice. I could easily not know that I was pregnant because I don't feel like I am. This explains why I haven't been sick. It's a boy. I wasn't sick with Aidan either. I kind of figured it was a boy and this morning confirmed that it was. Here's the little guy in action. , We got up a little after 6 a.m. and got ready to head to the hospital. My mom showed up at 6:45 to watch the other three at home for us. Thanks Mom! The Past Week...

This past week has been a pretty laid back one. I've been getting things done on my own schedule...whenever I feel like it. Haha! Took the boys to the library, I've been making time (a.k.a. not working) to read a book for my own enjoyment, planted some flowers, made a few trips to the park with the kids, done a bit of shopping (grocery shopping at Winco is a lot of work with just me and the boys and I really have to gear up for it.), and I have been playing Sorry and Hi Ho Cherry O with Aidan quite a bit. So I have been busy just not with the normal stuff that keeps me busy on a daily basis.  I love browsing Costco with Jaime and my kids in the evening of a week day. It's not very crowded then. If there's a fun movie on the TVs we like to stop and watch a little. We stopped to watch a bit of the Avenger's in 3D...hence Aidan's glasses. :) I spent a day at Mom's with the boys.
