Lindsey is in Lego Robotics Club

I was surprised that Lindsey had joined the school's Lego Robotics Club. They have it in the morning before school starts. Since Jaime now goes to Jaime's school he takes her to school when he leaves for work. She's at school so early that she's there the same time the robotics club meets so she decided to check it out. Jaime signed the parent permission slip to be in the club so I never saw paperwork and had no idea that she even joined the club for quite some time!

On Saturday December 5th was the Lego Robotics Competition. It was an ALL. DAY. EVENT. Lindsey got on the bus at 7:30 a.m. and didn't get back until 5:30p.m. 

Jaime and I and the three other kids went to watch.

I couldn't believe how many people were there! When the kids weren't competing and using their robots to complete missions, they were downstairs in a room to work on different codes to get their robot to accomplish specific missions.

Lindsey and her partner were waiting to get started. (The announcer is wearing silly clothes. :) Everyone and their teams were encouraged to dress some way. Lindsey's team wore neon yellow shirts with gold beads.


It was a fun learning experience. It was the school's first robotics club (brand new school) so the clubs leaders are new and learning just as much as the kids are. Lindsey's team didn't win but they ranked 45th or 44th out of 124. I'd say they did pretty good!

Yes, this is true. And yes....this will be our newest addition to the family. You think you're surprised! Just imagine how surprised I was! Big time let me tell you. And in case you are wondering, I am just starting my first week of month number five. Yes, I am in my second trimester already. Hard to believe it's really gone that fast. I haven't been sick at all. It's been very nice. I could easily not know that I was pregnant because I don't feel like I am. This explains why I haven't been sick. It's a boy. I wasn't sick with Aidan either. For Unto Us A Child Is Born

On Wednesday December 16th I went to the hospital at 7 a.m. to start my induction. I was already dialated to a 3 and dr. said if I wanted to have the baby I could. I didn't want to be in the hospital or recovering too close to Christmas with my entire family home for the season so I said sure! I was finally underway at 8 a.m. with pitocin. The rest of the morning and afternoon was spent in boredom and watching tv with Jaime at my side. At around 12:45 the dr. came to break my water because that usually gets things going quick. My kids have all arrived shortly after the water breaks. However, since the baby's head kind of floated up he decided to wait a bit to not risk the umbilical cord coming out first or wringing around the baby's neck. Bummer! I was so disappointed. So, on to more waiting, turning up the pitocin...again. Finally at 3:30 p.m. I was having some strong contractions and dialated 5-6. The Past Week...

This past week has been a pretty laid back one. I've been getting things done on my own schedule...whenever I feel like it. Haha! Took the boys to the library, I've been making time (a.k.a. not working) to read a book for my own enjoyment, planted some flowers, made a few trips to the park with the kids, done a bit of shopping (grocery shopping at Winco is a lot of work with just me and the boys and I really have to gear up for it.), and I have been playing Sorry and Hi Ho Cherry O with Aidan quite a bit. So I have been busy just not with the normal stuff that keeps me busy on a daily basis.  I love browsing Costco with Jaime and my kids in the evening of a week day. It's not very crowded then. If there's a fun movie on the TVs we like to stop and watch a little. We stopped to watch a bit of the Avenger's in 3D...hence Aidan's glasses. :) I spent a day at Mom's with the boys.
