Out For Some Fun

Thursday December 10th was a very windy day. With the kids having parent/teacher conferences at school they were released from school that week at 12:30 every day. I thought it was a good time to do something fun with the kids. I had purchased a deal for four people to jump two hours and get a candy and gatorade from Get Air trampoline park. After the kids got home from school we headed out to Get Air.

On the way there we saw the Oscar Meyer Weiner Mobile parked in front of Walmart. Well, I wasn't in any hurry and the kids wanted to stop and see it. This afternoon was for the kids basically so I pulled into the Walmart parking lot and we went to take a look.

We've seen it before but it's always been closed. This time the driver was inside and she had it all decorated for Christmas and welcomed the kids inside to give them a sticker and weinie whistle. 

Maybe some day they'll get a RIDE in it!

At Get Air there were only a handful of other people there when we got there. With the neighboring school districts still in school all day not many kids were around to go jump.


I would tell them to try certain jumps or tricks and they'd see how well they could do it. I sat on the sidelines talking to and watching the kids. I also was doing some online Christmas shopping! It was great, the kids got some exercise and I was productively getting things done for Christmas. ;)

The kids got so hot running and jumping around they'd cool off in front of the big fans. Two hours was maybe a little long for them. They did have some laying down time they were so tired. :) It was a really fun afternoon. They enjoyed leaving with a big candy bar and a Gatorade.

Yes, this is true. And yes....this will be our newest addition to the family. You think you're surprised! Just imagine how surprised I was! Big time let me tell you. And in case you are wondering, I am just starting my first week of month number five. Yes, I am in my second trimester already. Hard to believe it's really gone that fast. I haven't been sick at all. It's been very nice. I could easily not know that I was pregnant because I don't feel like I am. This explains why I haven't been sick. It's a boy. I wasn't sick with Aidan either. I kind of figured it was a boy and this morning confirmed that it was. Here's the little guy in action. , We got up a little after 6 a.m. and got ready to head to the hospital. For Unto Us A Child Is Born

On Wednesday December 16th I went to the hospital at 7 a.m. to start my induction. I was already dialated to a 3 and dr. said if I wanted to have the baby I could. I didn't want to be in the hospital or recovering too close to Christmas with my entire family home for the season so I said sure! I was finally underway at 8 a.m. with pitocin. The rest of the morning and afternoon was spent in boredom and watching tv with Jaime at my side. At around 12:45 the dr. came to break my water because that usually gets things going quick. My kids have all arrived shortly after the water breaks. However, since the baby's head kind of floated up he decided to wait a bit to not risk the umbilical cord coming out first or wringing around the baby's neck. Bummer! I was so disappointed. So, on to more waiting, turning up the pitocin...again. Finally at 3:30 p.m. I was having some strong contractions and dialated 5-6. The Past Week...

This past week has been a pretty laid back one. I've been getting things done on my own schedule...whenever I feel like it. Haha! Took the boys to the library, I've been making time (a.k.a. not working) to read a book for my own enjoyment, planted some flowers, made a few trips to the park with the kids, done a bit of shopping (grocery shopping at Winco is a lot of work with just me and the boys and I really have to gear up for it.), and I have been playing Sorry and Hi Ho Cherry O with Aidan quite a bit. So I have been busy just not with the normal stuff that keeps me busy on a daily basis.  I love browsing Costco with Jaime and my kids in the evening of a week day. It's not very crowded then. If there's a fun movie on the TVs we like to stop and watch a little. We stopped to watch a bit of the Avenger's in 3D...hence Aidan's glasses. :) I spent a day at Mom's with the boys.
